Rare dlh015 Posted May 22 #1 Share Posted May 22 1st time NCL cruiser. However, I've never had an overnight in a port that was serviced by tenders on any cruise line so wondered how this works. I'm assuming they operate until some specified hour by which you must be back on board? Or end up sleeping on the beach...
Rare 1025cruise Posted May 22 #2 Share Posted May 22 It's going to depend on the port. Also the weather. The ship might also plan to sail away overnight to open the casino.
Chocolate Teapot Posted May 22 #3 Share Posted May 22 From last week's experience on the Star, on the first day in Dun Laoghaire, tenders ran until 8.00pm (I think), then started at 7.00am the following morning. I know some people did stay overnight in Dublin.
Rare Tak8 Posted May 22 #4 Share Posted May 22 I spent the night in Dublin last week on the Star. It allowed me to start the 2nd day earlier than the tenders. Yes, it was an extra expense, but worth it to me. Enjoyed the night life also.

Rare Tak8 Posted May 22 #6 Share Posted May 22 No. I packed a go bag and simply returned the next evening.
