cthrn27 Posted May 31 #1 Share Posted May 31 hello. We are looking forward to sailing on Magic soon. We have typically sailed Fantasy class, with perhaps Conquest a while back. Can we still just line up to enjoy the comedy show? Or do we have to make reservations?? Can we still book our excursions once on the ship, or do they fill up more quickly because there are so many more people on board?? Are reservations required for the evening musical shows?? Just trying to prepare. Thanks in advance.
Rare dctravel Posted May 31 #2 Share Posted May 31 We love the Magic and have sailed on her twice. Carnival does not have a reservation system for shows (comedy or otherwise). They are first-come first-seated. As a result, you will sometimes (often?) see lines form about 30 minutes before the doors open. That can be annoying, but we found that one person could hold the spot while others used the restroom or got a drink to carry in. As for shore excursions, I think that depends on what you want to do. If there is an excursion you really want, then reserving it online ahead of time makes a lot of sense. There is a shore excursion desk on each ship where you book. No idea if the choices are the same or different, but certainly, if something sells out, they are unlikely to be offering it onboard unless someone cancels. I hope this helps some! dctravel
weezal Posted May 31 #3 Share Posted May 31 there are no reservations for any shows. line up half hour before show starts, when doors open, if you want a good seat.
cthrn27 Posted May 31 Author #4 Share Posted May 31 thank you both for responding. I will assume it is similar to what we know from Fantasy class, just with more people. Thanks!
mz-s Posted May 31 #5 Share Posted May 31 Everything on the ship is larger than Fantasy class so the extra crowds aren't as big of a deal.
