Carnival celebration aft balcony

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Booked our very first carnival cruise for next year. We've done 25+ cruises on Royal, and cruise a lot due to their casino program. I did a match with carnival, and finally pulled the trigger on carnival celebration next year since we could get an aft balcony fully comped.

It goes to grand turk, amber cove, Nassau, and celebration key. Never been to amber cove, grand turk, or celebration key obviously since it's not open yet.

I was able to book an extended aft view balcony and from what I can tell, it's an awesome cabin and an awesome view. Am I missing anything?

Since we love oasis class, celebration felt like the best ship to try and I THINK scoring that aft cabin is a huge win since most of the other sailings I could pick from didn't include the aft balcony like this one did fully comped.

I included the deck plan below, and we were able to get cabin 11520.

Thanks!

We Typically book the aft wrap excel suites (and on the 15th floor), but the cabin you have is a good one.  The will have a nice view down to the Summer Landing pool.

We absolutely love the aft balcony cabins.  We were able to have a lounge chair on ours and we used it every day.  It's also a great spot to watch sail away from the islands.

Did the AFT balcony once. First you may get vibration from the props    Or you may not.  My big down thing is  the cabin is just so far from everything.  Elevators.  Buffer,  theater, dining room.  It’s just seams like you are always walking.
I like mid ship rooms a few cabins away from elevators.  Quick trip to buffer in morning to get coffee and cake.   Late at night. After drinking way too much. Quick trip to cabin.  That IMHO

We were in extended aft balcony 14529 in February this year.  Absolutely no complaints.  A lot of people don't like the aft balconies because it can get hot in the afternoon sun.  It does.  But we don't often spend much time on the balcony during the afternoon.  The room stayed relatively cool still.  I liked the view down to Summer Landing pool.  Yes, it can be a far walk to certain things, but also an easy trip to other things.  We went down to Summer Landing all the time, which was just an elevator trip down.  The Tides pool and bar was just an elevator ride up, or just 2 decks if we wanted to skip the elevator.  I really actually like the location.  It was quiet, not many people walking back there.

just know that on the lower level is Guys BBQ and at night there is a band.

Sometimes the noise creeps up a couple of decks.

Oh and for some reason I could hear voices coming from the air duct in shower as well.  very odd

Overall loved Celebration

We love the location - have had the aft balcony on Mardi Gras, Celebration & Jubilee.  We spend a lot of time at the pool & Guy's Pig & Anchor a few decks down, so it's a great location.  The elevators a few cabins away, which get you to just about every deck.  Highly recommended!

We had an aft balcony on the Mardi Gras (Deck 10) and will never, ever do it again. There was zero breeze due to the curved design of the ship and no shade. It was so unbearably hot and stifling that we could only use the balcony at night. We will take an extended balcony on the mid-ship hump every time instead.
