Embarkation Day Lunch

I’ll be on Discovery Princess. First time on Princess. On embarkation day, where can I have lunch other than the buffet?  Thanks for any tips.

Gigi's pizza on deck 7, MDR, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm or pool deck grill/pizza.

If you don't have plus or premier bundle, there's a charge for Gigi's.

One dining room will have lunch for about 1 1/2 hours, IC will have sandwiches and deserts   Lido deck for burgers etc   Can’t remember if Lido still has pizza by the slice but I believe so. All of these options will be free of charge

A sandwich or bowl of soup can qualify as a light lunch.

It's worth going to the MDR on embarkation day for lunch because they serve an orange soufflé that is delicious.

If you ask a crew member they may not tell you about the MDR, you may have to find which one is open on your own 🙂

Since 2022 they've provided a leaflet with lunch options for embarkation day.

I just look at the MDR's to see which is open, I never take any of those papers anymore....DW has bought enough art work...I don't want to end up with anymore 🤣

We were on the Discovery Princess this summer, and the sushi restaurant was also open for embarkation lunch.  Like Gigi's, it's a "charge, or covered by Cruise Package" facility.

We will be on the Regal Princess in November.  Does anyone know which MDR will be open for lunch on embarkation day?  Oh, and what hours they are open?

Deck 6 Aft dining room from noon to 1:30 pm.
