Another_Critic Posted September 11 #3 Share Posted September 11 "The Broward Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to PEOPLE in a statement at the time that the boy was on the eighth floor of Harmony of the Seas when he attempted to climb into his room because he forgot his room key." ??? Central Park is deck 8. Balconies are deck 10 to 14. 2

Tragic. Read the room was decorated in birthday decor too... These poor parents lost their child. Devasting. Edit: That same girl did post he jumped. Now I am wondering.... Rare RobInMN Posted September 11 #6 Share Posted September 11 There was already a multi-page thread on this that has apparently been removed by the moderators. The interpretation of this report runs counter to the previous reports as to the circumstances that led to the "fall". If you carefully dissect the article, it never mentions the circumstance of the 12 year old. The article refers to them early on as "pre-teen" and only said that they "fell". Everything from "The news comes after a 16-year-old boy also fell to his death on the ship back in 2019." is referring to that incident. They refer to that person as a teenager, and it's that incident where they are reporting that the teen tried to climb up on the balcony when they fell. The reference to the Broward County ME "...confirmed to PEOPLE in a statement at the time...". This is indicting they are referring to an even in the past (the 16 year old), not the recent one (12 year old). 2

But not following, how did he get to the balcony if he wasn't in the room? from balcony next door?

Very sad though, one moment of stupidity can have devastating consequences. I feel for everyone involved.

As @RobInMN noted, the article may be commingling two different incidents.

Yes, these articles are including information about the 2019 fall as well as the recent fall. It seems to be confusing readers. (We actually were on the 2019 cruise when the teen fell on the dock at Labadee.) Edited September 11 by ShipsandDipper

There are no balconies facing Central Park on Deck 8. Deck 9 has windows, and Decks 10-14 have balconies facing CP. There are plenty of rumors and theories, RCI is not talking.
