I saw two posts with the can cocktails on Facebook transatlantic thread.  I don’t have anymore information.

reed- just scroll past- I cannot copy/ paste on here.

I will stop sharing, as I am aware of what this thread is.

Sure you can copy and paste here - you download the pic then upload it here.. of course, it's polite to get the original poster permission to share their photo...

There's no reason to stop sharing pertinent info... Wouldn't have been aware of it without your post...

I saw the pictures below.  I would not be happy with that.  And I do hope that someone else on the cruise posts here to update us on how things are going.

Thanks. Personally, I wouldn't be upset with those as an option - assuming we still got 8 booze, 2 beers, 2 waters, 2 Perrier and the sodas... If swap out for what sounded better. Beats the hell out of Absolut..

Saw on fb- passenger says can no longer trade mini bar set up and it is canned cocktails.  Not sure this is for real

I certainly hope that’s not the case.  I don’t drink alcohol and always get those swapped out.  Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Absolut, and the rest of the minis are not what we drink. Liking the new cans!

Will definitely give the cans a try if that's what's given on our Sun cruises... And if they're yuck, I'll swap to waters or sodas, or share.

With unlimited drinks from Premier - the minibar is even less of a draw than before..

We get Plus and usually bring the minibar home.

I just watched the Sun sail away from Southampton.  Happy cruising to all who are aboard.

Ombud, I hope you have a wonderful cruise! I am looking forward to your reviews.

With all of the bitter complaining about the Sun Princess on its previous voyage, I wonder how many of them would have felt if it was actually cancelled.

Royal's Icon of the Seas just canceled its upcoming cruise due to propulsion issues.

@azbirdmom I don't buy wifi. I like being unplugged. Still a little leery about going an entire week without emails (10/1 - 10/8) so we shall see how i do it on future trips

If you want WiFi on the 8 days across, message me and you can tether of my device if you just want emails

On board and enjoying ourselves.

Nothing like time off work to get a start on that positivity.

Sounds like some people on the last cruise had a rough time.

We Ignored the boarding/Checkin times of 13.00 to 15.00, racked up at 11.00 & on board dropping off hand luggage in room by 11.20.

Only hiccup so far has been evening meal for @19.40,reserved meal for 2 (Booked months ago) on Deck 7 horizon. We got there at 19.30 and saw the biggest queue we have ever seen on a Princess ship (13 cruises).

Sacked that and went to Alfredo’s, almost empty.  Had a really nice meal.

@Ombud looking forward to your Semi-Live thread and anyone else giving tips on how to enjoy ourselves!

Green Line boarding: fast as usual. Onboard by 10:44

Rm 10222 is an extremely narrow room! If a sheet of paper is 8.5×11" then the hallway is 27.5". Yes the sofa cushions don't match, the middle cushion is different fabric. Also note the very different mini bar. There aren't any of the traditional bottles of alcohol. There's 6 bottles of mixed drinks instead. I don't really care as I trade it for a bottle of wine.

Closet: I hope you're tall. You'll need to be as they squeezed a few inches here by putting the bar near the ceiling and shelves below. Met up with a lady who couldn't hang her clothes.

Balcony: VERY large. 1/2 covered, 1/2 uncovered much like Caribe balconies on Grand Class ships

Elevator: This is a definite improvement.  I selected which floor I was going to & was directed to an elevator. Once I entered the elevator there were not any buttons to select. Elevators do not stop on each floor

Toilets by Good Spirits: wheelchair users must make an immediate sharp u-turn to use the ADA stall. Wonder how they missed that? Doesn't affect me but suggest those who are mobility impaired find another one

Another trip hazard; there is slope up / down encircling the piazza. Not terribly noticeable but be aware as i watched it catch a few off guard

Elite Lounge is in the American Diner. There wasn't any music (ok, piped in stuff) unlike other ships

MDR dining changes are well broadcasted. Deck 6 with traditional 5:00 or 7:30 same table / staff dining.  Deck 7 with 2 lines: (1) with reservations & (2) without waiting on a table. Should work fine. I went to Deck 8 hoping to experience the American Diner as this is my only night without a set time.  But tonight it's just an extension of Decks 6 & 7. So a little disappointing. But I'll go back after the show tonight as it's open later then regular MDR

OMG the Motown Show (MOBO) !! Dancing in my seat

Elite Tea tomorrow so I will post the picture when I'm in Vigo, another port stop. Will also download / answer questions (if any)

I thought I'd mind how narrow the bathroom is (I can elbow counter & wall at the same time) but it WORKS! I just leave the bathroom door open. My towels are in the hall anyway.

Agreed but this is my 56th cruise. American Dinner had only the Sailaway Menu last night. Very short queue when I got there but soon was out to staircase

Hopefully you won’t suffer the same problems as the previous cruise

Ticks me off. But then it's because my impression is usually quite different

>>>>>>

Someone said they couldn't find International Cafe.  Its next to the Eatery. Makes sense to me. Coffee currents all over but w/o IC food.

Ok. Signing off now

Grinding started early this a.m....   Can confirm mini-bar set up is cans of cocktails.  We still have not had the mini-bar delivered so had to call room service.  The Tea is removed from the list of elite benefits on the elite sheet we received.  We had someone else's water delivered to our room (the room #'s weren't even close to each other or just a number off).  Our room still wasn't turned down at 10 pm at night.  Our room steward said today was his FIRST day.  Thankfully we don't need a lot of service.  We had a tour booked this morning that they cancelled and rebooked for 1pm this afternoon.  Oh, and we couldn't play in the casino last night because we changed rooms. ??? Not sure how they justify that one.
