Welcome to "LIVE" from Symphony of the Seas.

Hello everyone, and good day. The Sea is Calling.
I will head north (I-95) tomorrow to sail Symphony of the Seas from Cape Liberty on Sunday. (September 29, 2024) This will be my first Cruise with Royal Caribbean since Sept 2022. I have been sailing during the last 2 years with MSC, NCL, and Princess Cruises.
This will be my first time on Symphony of the Seas. She was built in 2018 and was refurbished in 2023.

I look forward to exploring all the neighborhoods onboard to see what may have changed. The ship has been sailing with capacities over 100%. I have read many reports/reviews that there were too many passengers. (with many passengers pushing or shoving in lines, security being called, etc.)

I have read previous reviews where passengers loved their cruise while many others hated their cruise, so I will board Symphony of the Seas with an open mind for 14 nights. You will be viewing the ship through my eyes, and I will provide you with my thoughts onboard. This 7 night B2B sailing will have the same itinerary each week.

I am happy that I have the same cabin for week one and week two of my sailing. I am sure that I will be watching news for a bit during my 3 days at sea (each week).

I hope for clear weather next week and look forward to entering the Passenger Terminal at Cape Liberty this Sunday.
There will be much more coming in just a few days . . . Thanks for tuning in.

  • Radio changed the title to "LIVE" from Symphony of the Seas - Sept. 29, 2024 (B2B)

We will be with you on Symphony for the first week in a Boardwalk Balcony cabin.

Along with Oasis, Symphony is my favorite RCCL ship.  We love Central Park, the Solarium Bistro for Breakfast, the ice show and Hairspray (one of the few RCCL shows with a positive message).

We have never experienced pushing or shoving in lines.

The itinerary is weak, but for us, it's all about the ship.

Hope we meet onboard!

We’re onboard now and have had a great cruise! Our waiter said we have about 6300 passengers but really hasn’t seemed crowded at all.  A little tough finding a table for 6 a couple of mornings at solarium bistro or windjammer, but was always able to get one.  Had a “Perfect Day” at CocoCay.  We did Coco Beach Club and will continue to do so as long as the price is right.  We did Resort Day Pass in Nassau at the British Colonial for the first time and will definitely return. Sadly heading back to Bayonne, after a wonderful cruise.

I have followed you for years and in my book you rate as one of the best original live thread creators as far as cruising goes.

In fact that on one of my recent cruises when I posted —- I too “Watched the news”

I was paying tribute to your eye for sharing facts, and justly so gave credit to your eyes when watching the news.

Looking forward to following your travels.
Take care.
Be safe.

A lot of news going on, hope you can take it all in.
