leaveitallbehind Posted September 30 #2 Share Posted September 30 (edited) I guess they figure with suite guests having flexible check in and direct boarding commencing with the earliest times for both, the "lounge" would get little use. There is always Miami or FLL if you want to spend 10 or 15 minutes in luxury prior to boarding your cruise.
ijscheer Posted September 30 #6 Share Posted September 30 Are there any Celebrity cruises that actually embark (as opposed to port) in Boston ??
Rare 1025cruise Posted September 30 #7 Share Posted September 30 Boston is also only a seasonal port.

jelayne Posted September 30 #11 Share Posted September 30 No fancy Longe for embarkation is not unusual. Had some with no separate check in area, folding chairs behind a curtain. Port Everglades sets high expectations.

But Celebrity is not the only cruise line using the Boston terminal. So there are many more than five cruises a year leaving from there and it’s a bit surprising that the facility is as limited as it is.
RichYak Posted September 30 #14 Share Posted September 30 That looks almost exactly like the Retreat area in the Cape Liberty Bayonne terminal.
Jeremiah1212 Posted September 30 #15 Share Posted September 30 (edited) T25 in Port Everglades is the exception, not the standard. What you see here is inline with pretty much any other embarkation port, even T19 at Port Everglades. I couldn't care less. Much more important that they take good care of us on the ship!
dcbiker97 Posted September 30 #17 Share Posted September 30 I don’t really mind what it looks like. I try to minimize the amount of time spent in the check in area. T25 is really pretty, but pretty doesn’t get me on the ship quicker.

It always surprises me when we checkin at the lounge, boarding has started and there are passengers in the boarding lounge sitting & drinking coffee or having a danish.

Cruising89143 Posted September 30 #24 Share Posted September 30 First world problems. I have never had to wait when in a suite. It’s always been straight onto the ship.

You've never had a delayed embarkation, then. And when you do some day... Embarkation started about an hour later than expected for our Reflection TA out of Barcelona in Fall '22. We were happy for the upgraded lounge area there.
