self assist luggage questions...

Do they have a specific time that you have to get off the ship? OR Do they call for self assist and you can get off whenever?

We have a 1:15pm flight out of LAX after arriving at the Long Beach Pier. It's just my DH and I with two suitcases and a carry on. Should we do the self assist or just talk to the pursers desk and tell them the time of our flight so we can be off the ship by 9:30-10:00??

Advise please..thanks

I was in a situation just like yours and when I informed the pursers desk...they suggested the self assist program. I was off the ship by 8:15am. Love that process !!
