Rip cord for luggage....

Recommended Posts

Ok. I've heard not to lock my luggage for our flight in case they need to search our bags. So we decided on the rip cords like they use to tie up electrical cables etc.

The question..since we can't carry scissors in our carry on...how do you cut the cord once you're at the hotel or ship? Can I bring a pair of toe nail clippers or will they be confiscated?

OK maybe this is a dumb question but I'm a blonde...naturally. LOL

Thanks gang!

I always take a small pair of scissors and put them in one of the outside pockets of my checked luggage. I don't use it for anything else and then I can retrieve them and cut the cord. But, I also don't thinkt here is a problem with small nail clippers, I knwot hey willtake away nail files I had that done.
