Leave for LA in the morning and will be using shuttle services and taxis to get around. What is the appropriate percentage to tip. I don't want to look like a cheapskate but I'm no millionaire either.

We usually tip .50 cents to $1 per bag- just depends on the service and attitude we get. If they are standing there with their hand out, then they get a minimum....

Taxi's -- I usually tip 15% and then an extra $.50 or $1.00 per bag that they handle.

 

Shuttle services -- I usually tip $1 for each bag they handle

 

Don't know if these are the norms, but I suspect they're about average. Frequently, shuttle drivers don't get tipped at all, and they do seem to appreciate a tip.
