luckywilson Posted May 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2004 My family and I will be in Rome on June 29, which is the Festival of St. Peter and Paul. Does anyone know if this is an important festival? Will much of the city be closed? Will there be larger than usual crowds, etc...? I've been looking on the web for answers, but no luck. I hope one ofyou well-travelled souls can help. Thanks!
Hornblower Posted May 22, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2004 As far as I know this is not a public holiday in Italy. Shops and offices will be open as regular. Festivities will probably only take place at St Peters square as this Roman Catholic festive day is not commemorated as in the past. You shouldn't have any problems with crowds anywhere else in Rome.
