Spirit/Pride/Miracle/Legend 4165 Balcony

Does anyone know how this room is? Its a 8A balcony on the Main deck with a lifeboat directly next door. The TA claims it shouldn't affect our view but it sure looks like it does. This is to Alaska so the view matters. We already experienced being in a bumped in cabin on the Miracle and we couldn't see to the right off of our balcony.

Thanks much!

Are you sure you have the right cabin number and that you are looking at the correct deck plan? 4165 is five cabins away from the nearest life boat and the cabin sticks out as far as the lifeboat, so the liftboat should not block you view. 4165 is on the starboard side of the middle set of elevators. Click on the link for the deck plan and see for yourself ...

Here is a better pic. If you dont like the cabin you can ask to be moved. UNLESS it was given to you as a gurantee.

I honestly dont think that life boat will be in your view.. its recessed in. the lifeboat will sit eveb with your wall to your right. You will be able to lean on the railing and see out.

Good photo! Thank you!

Have any idea or seen threads if it is better to be on port or starboard side for Alaska? The search engine seems to only like one word.

Which way are you heading? North bound or south bound?

Think about it a little bit . . . . . when its round trip does it really matter?

Well it does really because it depends which side the ship docks on in the ports and it depends on the time of the day the ship sails by the interesting scenery. You could sail right by something of interest early in the morning when you could see it instead late afternoon.

Northbound will have the ports on one side. Southbound the other.

Not all cruises are round trip.

if it is a round trip-- it doesnt matter what side.

Captain will decide when he arrives at the ports to either pull in or back on.
