question about i.d

I've read on here before to make 2 copies of all i.d's. So, one for taking with you, along with the original, and the other? Also, what if your s&s and your wallet get stolen while in port, :eek: then what? Thanks

Don't know about the stolen wallet & S&S but I heard the other copy of ID's is left at home with a friend or relative so they could be faxed to you in an emergency.

I leave a copy of my passport at home.

I keep a copy of my passport in the ship's safe.

I take my passport with me when I leave the ship.

 

I keep my passport in a waist belt, under my clothes. If someone steals my ID, then I'm running around nekkid somewhere because they'd have to strip me down to get to it.

I leave copies of my passport and other important papers with my Mother-n-law. I take a copy in my luggage and my passport and other i.d.'s are with me.

If you lose your sign and sail card I can guess you'd be ship outta luck. You need that to get back on the ship. On islands--guard that with your life.

We keep our S&S card in waterproof cases that we wear around our necks, which we put inside our shirts. This has worked well for us. The case is big enough to keep a credit card and some money.

 

We keep a list of the credit card numbers and the 800- at home with mom who house and dogs sits, just in case. We also keep a copy in the safe.

but it was while I was onboard. I'm guessing it is at the bottom of the ocean now.:(

 

However, my S&S card was cancelled and a new one issued immediately. (I did have to have my picture made again when we were disembarking the next morning.) Our room was rekeyed and a new key was issued the next day. And, fortunately, I was off on Friday so my ID (military) was replace the day after we returned home. Carnival was really great about helping us during the ordeal...we didn't get charged for anything and we had several of the employees come up later and ask us if we'd had any success in finding my stuff.

 

Needless to say, I was very lucky with my mishap!:o

Same. We have the waterproof cases that hold CC's. This year we're just going to take copies our our passports as well -- one of each in each case in case (lots of cases) we lose one of them.

 

I actually have another ID at my parents house that isn't expired yet. I have it from when I changed addresses :) So no worries there. And, BC's are there as well -- same with the fiance :)

 

On the ship we leave our passports in the safe :) We'd def. notice those missing :)
