cruisernan Posted July 14, 2006 #26 Share Posted July 14, 2006 Thanks SO much for the info....just booked for August with no problem!! Glad it worked -- hope we all enjoy it. Our time in Stockholm is so limited but this sounds really unusual and our traveling companions have a friend who says it is a 'must see' just to tell the stories back home! SF Posted September 2, 2006 #27 Share Posted September 2, 2006 How far is the Ice Bar from where the ships dock? We'll be sailing Constellation. What's the best way to get there?
virgenia Posted September 2, 2006 #28 Share Posted September 2, 2006 The ice bar is about a 10 minute taxi drive from the ship. It cost 180 NK one way (altho we were ripped off on the way over and it cost twice as much). This ice bar is really no big deal. You put on fur-lined vinyl capes with a hood and gloves, go in and get one drink. Mine tasted exactly like Scope mouthwash. There is only one very short ice bench to sit on, other than that you are standing. It is just a cold, boring place that is unique and can just be classified as an expensive experience. Thank goodness we did not pay for a ship's tour for this.
