Dining in Greece and/or Italy

Recommended Posts

Quick question, silly really.....

What is custom when entering a restaurant in Athens? Or Venice?

France has a hostess or maitre de. Germany for the most part was self seating. England pubs are order at the bar, find a table, etc.

I'm asking about sidewalk cafes or casual eateries. Thanks, RLE

Some place in Greece also have a host /hostess ..somplaces also include the tip with the meal price so check the bottom of the menu/bill

...most Greeks don't have coffee with their meal they go to a cafe afterward for Coffee & dessert.
