abouna Posted June 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2006 I am trying to decide on a 12 day Med. Cruise for August 2007 between the Emerald Princess (1st Choice) and the RC Legend of the Seas. We are two adults and two children 4 and 9 at that time. Emerald Princess Pros: 1. New, beautiful Ship (just saw the Crown Princess docked in Brooklyn) 2. More ports 3. Leaves from Venice with overnight on the ship and arrives in Rome. Legend of the Seas Pros: 1. Less ports but more interesting ones, including Alexandria, Egypt and the Pyramids and Cyprus. This is a big plus for us. Also, more days at sea may be more relaxing. 2. Price for a mini-suite compared to Princess is $3000.00 less or a Grand Suite is $1500 less than a mini on the Princess, however, both are 12 nights. Any thoughts from experienced crusiers, help me decide!!!!!!!!!

wrp96 Posted June 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2006 Well since nobody is answering you, you may want to completely repost and give it a more informative title like: 2007 Med Cruise Legend of the Seas vs. Emerald Princess or Princess vs RCCL for Med 2007. Something informative so people know what you are asking about. You truly have a real dilemma and I know that whichever cruise you choose you'll have a great time. I still think the Legend is the better choice for less money and the opportunity to see ports that are not normally on the mainstream cruiseline's Med itineraries. cruiseforus Posted June 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2006 I'd go with RC Legend of the Seas for 2 reasons, you seem to like the ports better and that would be a major reason for me and with the difference in price I'd definitely go with RC. Either way have a wonderful time.
