How do you reach gold status

Just wondering how many cruises it takes before you get a gold key, thanks so much everyone here has been so helpful!!

On your second cruise, your Sail & Sign card will be gold; on your tenth, it becomes platinum.

777, you get a gold key in your second cruise. you also get to go to the past guest party. 2nd to 9th cruise = gold 10+ = platinum :-)

Thanks so much for such a quick respond Bonnie, another question now the cruise I'm going on next year I have some other friends going with us. Will I still get my status even if it's their first time. Thanks

It was my 4th Carnival cruise, my husband's second, and my children's first. We both had gold, and my children had regular ones.

Nope ... depends upon what status each person is. I went with a first-timer last time, and I had a gold and she had a red/blue.

of course, it doesnt matter if you go with a group.

Make sure your previous cruise is on record. go to carnival website, log on and check and make sure your last cruise is there. if not, then you can add it.

Don't worry about the card - there really are few "gold" perks: an invitation to the past guest party. Maybe someone will say "welcome back" when they take your card. Other than that, you will need to sail 10 times and after that you will have some real benefits.
