Zuiderdam Swimming Pools

I read on another thread on here that the swimming pools on board are not heated. Can that really be true?

 

If it is true then it certainly rules out any swimming for me and DH. There's no way we could ever swim in unheated water. It would be a great disappointment to us. :(

People are swimming in the pools in Alaska...so they've gotta be heated for them to get into that water. Because of that, I just assumed that they were heated....

I don't know if the water is heated or not, but the temp has always been comfortable once you are over the initial shock, that occurs in any pool.

All HAL pools are heated and freshwater (except for the add'l cost T-Pool in the spa which is of course salt-water.)

IN contrast to what Brian says, I can assure you that the aft pools on at least the Veendam,Ryndam, and Maasdam are salt water. I frankly don recall about the Zuiderdam, but suspect that the aft pool is also.

I saw the Seinfeld episode with George and "shrinkage". It was hysterical. Thanks for the laugh today.
