Need some advice regarding Carnival Valor

We're just on the verge of booking Carnival Valor for Christmas this year and, someone sent me this article

http://holidaycruise12232007.blogspot.com/2006/07/what-brochures-didnt-tell-you-food.html

Anyhow, in the article it states that SOME Carnival ships actually offer four different sittings for dinner something like: 6:00, 6:30, 8:00 and 8:30. If this is true, can someone let me know if this would be available on Valor? The 6:30 seating sounds perfect for our needs!

Thanks!

The times on the Valor are:

Washington Dining Room: early- 5:45 late - 8:15

Lincoln Dining Room: early - 6:15 late - 8:30

I know people say you can't request specific times or table sizes, but I always make the request through my TA and gotten what I wanted both times. (6:15 at a large table this time)

I guess I'm just lucky. (Now if only I was as lucky in the casino).

We normally picked the 5:45pm time slot but at 5:45pm its very early and most times youre just returning from a shore excursion, we got the Lincoln Dining Room: early - 6:15 time slot on the Valor and it was way better, gave us more time to get ready for dinner.

WE have NEVER been seated at the time we requested. Gonna try once again for 6:15 on the Glory in September. It's really no big deal seeing as how there has allways been enough food cooked to our satisfaction. On top of that we have always been seated with simply delightful dinner companions and never gave a thought to changing our assigned seats.:) :)

If you don't get the time you want you will need to see the Matride (oh my gosh I don't know how to spell that!!!) Anyways you might have to sit at your assigned time the first night but after that you will probably be accomodated.
