cctrekker Posted July 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2006 I'm assuming they take care of your luggage and drop you off at the airport? Says excursion only for people with a "9:30 PM departure time". We have a 10:10 PM departure time so I assume we are safe there? Any other comments / recommendations? Thanks! spirit rev Posted July 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2006 Hi We took a tour, a shorter one than the Grand Circle, as we left the Wind last January before ouf flight home. When we claimed our luggage we went to the bus. They asked which airline we were using and put our luggage in that section of the bus. We were at the airport in plenty of time for our "dinner-time" flight, even able to grab a bite to eat.
karfest Posted July 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2006 We took this tour because we had a 10:30pm flight and didn't want to hassle with luggage and a rental car. It was our only NCL excursion of this cruise and we really enjoyed it. We were last off the ship, which meant we could sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast. We took our luggage to the bus, it was stored underneath, divided by airline. We stopped at the Dole Plantation and a few other smaller places, had a buffet lunch at the Turtle bay resort (included in the excursion price), stopped on the North Shore to see the surfers, back to Waikiki for about 2 hours of free time. We had drinks and appetizers at Duke's and did a little shopping at the ABC store. I think we were at the airport by 8pm, plenty of time to get through security. The guide was very informative and funny, we learned alot more about the history of the island than if we had rented a car and done this on our own. There were plenty of stops so it wasn't like sitting for 8 hours on a bus!
