RV Parking in Galveston

First time cruising on Princess: Looking for information about parking a motor home in Galveston for Apr. 14 2007 sailing.

Ether main lot (the "official" port of G lot or the one next to it) off of Harborside Drive along the quay have RVs and buses parked inside the fence all the time.

Since I have never sailed from this port, and have never just driven to a port, I am curious how the parking works. Is it available to any one on the cruise or just people that work there etc.? Do they have a daily charge and can we walk to the ship from the lots with luggage etc.?

Anybody can park. Daily/weekly fee. Drop luggage at the port, go park, ride the free shuttle back to the ship.
