Jarronwood Posted August 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2006 Hi Guys Need the low down on the way the American travel agents work. Ok, from what I have gathered you pay your deposit for your cruise and if you cancel within 90 days of sailing you get your deposit back? Is this correct. Here in England we forfeit our deposit. When is your final payment due if you don't cancel? The reason I ask is that although I am booked on a cruise with Celebrity the particular cabin I want is not available and my travel agent here in England says to watch out for the day final payment becomes due because it you do not pay the balance the cabin "becomes free" and goes back into the "available cabins" system. I also understand that with the USA your travel agents can block book cabins whereas in UK this is not allowed. I have booked a CC mid ships 8th deck on Summit but would really like an aft and was wondering on what days in particular I should be checking availability. Your response to this would be very welcome.
