Question about Palm Beach?

Hi!

I am looking for imformation on Palm Beach, Aruba, we would like to visit Palm Beach for the day, but information on this board says we cannot rent chairs or umbrellas from the resorts.

Is there an excursion we can take from the ship that allows us time on the beach with available chairs and umbrellas and refreshments?

Thanks for the help!

Please tell me what beach that is? we have been to Aruba a few times, the beaches are public but the cabanas and chairs are owned by hotels, we have asked a few times and they all say, you have to be a paytron of the hotel to use them.

It would be nice to sit on the a chair instead of the sand all day.

Much bigger and better beach take a bus $2.00 to LaCabana , Costa Linda, Amsterdam Manor area Eagle beach has divi Trees if you can't find a chair or rent umbrella and huts as well... it is public..all beaches are. The Papalas belong to the resorts but you may get lucky its low season right now. You will want shade its HOT. Palm beach is at the High Rise Area . Lots of Building going on. But more shops, hotels and casinos if thats what you want. To just relax and swim..you'll have better luck at Lacabana area at Eagle beach. :) They have a few Bars on the beach and resturants too. Right on the sand.

I have a time share on Aruba go every year? Home away from home. You'll love it

Cab to Palm Beach and walk through hotel and there will be private vendors renting chairs and umbrellas.

Did it this past Jan...

Look for bar running out into water and vendors right there.

Rotti, which hotel should we cab to? And do you remember how much the cab fare was?

Thank you!

I'm not rotti, but you can take a taxi to the Radisson. At the very southern end of the Radisson's Beach just before the De Palm Pier is a vendor's tent (see below) which rents all the "goodies". You can get there by taxi or bus. Bus is much cheaper, taxi is more convenient.

The Radisson IS a gorgeous resort. We will be returning there for the fourth time on Friday for an 8 night stay. Woman cannot live on cruising alone :D

Taxi fare from Oranjestad to the Radisson on Palm Beach is $10 each way per car, not per person.

We spent a few hours at Palm Beach right in front of the Radisson and it does clearly state the grass hut/chairs are owned by them but most weren't being used. We helped ourselves and nobody bothered us. It's beautiful there. A bit wavey but still nice.

Yes, waves as in "chop", cloudy water from all the sand stirred up. I swear to god, I have pictures. Maybe old Ernesto was causing problems. We were there the day prior to him coming past. I'm not trashing the beach it was beautiful and the Radisson is a gorgeous hotel. I"d go back. Love Aruba.

  • 2 weeks later...

Which beach do you prefer, the Radisson on Palm or the Amsterdam Manor on Eagle? We like to relax, I MUST have shade, cannot sit in the sun long. Water sports are not a necessity, a cool drink, maybe some food would be great, nice water to swim in.

Thanks!
