I am sailing Sunday on the Mariner out of Port Canaveral and it is my first cruise as a Platinum member. Is there a special boarding area for us in that port and what other goodies can we expect?

I don't know about Port Canaveral--in Miami, it's a special line (not area) for suites and upper C&A members. You are still in a line, but next in line is given the next available clerk.

Platinum guests and above, as well as Suite guests, have a dedicated line for check-in. After you check-in you will join in the queue with all the other passengers so it does save some time but not too much.

 

On our last two Sovereign of the Seas cruises out of Port Canaveral, Platinum members were offered priority debarkation and were first off the ship. They said priority debarkation is offered if there are not too many Platinum guest on board.

 

I don't know if the Mariner does that as they have a lot more Platinums than the shorter cruises.
