Just used hotwire to get a room for two nights post cruise in the conado area for 12/20-12/22. This was the first time I've used hotwire and was really excited to see that we recieved La Concha for 119$ a night before taxes! What a steal:D

Has anyone else on here received La Concha? I'm just wondering what kind of room you were put in?

I just got Sheraton Old San Juan for 11-8-2014, one night pre-cruise, for total of $123. For the convenience of exploring OSJ and 2 hops and 1 skip from the cruise pier that Carnival uses, I am so sooooo very happy with this. It's where I wanted for this particular trip.

This will be my first time in PR and already found so many places to explore. Thinking about a week long land trip in the future; maybe one of the beach hotels for that trip! :D

We will be there the same night, for the same price! lol

It was the 3 1/2 star with outdoor pool, pets allowed, gym, no smoking, handicap accessible.

If you look under Express Deal you can look at the hotel. Just make sure you're looking at the Old San Juan one.

Hmmm....

The one I am seeing on Priceline Express Deal is

3.5 * Old San Juan Condado

Guest Rating: 7.0

Indoor or Outdoor Pool Pets Allowed Casino Restaurant Fitness Center Business Center

You don't get the name until you purchase it. It is $60 cheaper if it is actual is the Sheraton Old San Juan.

Then, say Hi if you see me! Short, older, "fluffy" woman with short silver hair!

There are several of us from the Nashville area going on the Valor's southern run; out on the 9th for the 7 day. I'm rooming with a co-worker and a friend/co-worker and her husband are also going (their 20th cruise?). And their son's in-laws! I think at least one other couple they know will be on also. That's 8 that are actually booked, that I know of. More were invited!

I got the Sheraton OSJ for Jaime (co-worker) and I. Told friend what to put in PL to get it with the price that was "finally" accepted; they did. She told in-laws same info, but I'm not sure if they booked or not. I should find out at the 4th of July pool party today if they did!

Now to get final flight. I booked on SWA the flight down while it was cheap ($192) but the return is expensive. I'm now watching SWA--getting the email updates and DING---for if/when that return will get to decent prices! :D

Just booked the Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort for 10/10/14 for 1 night pre-cruise for $107 before taxes/fees. It was the 3.5 star listing in Isle Verde. We got 2 rooms for an estimated total of $327. It was $390 on all the other sites. So not too bad of a deal. This is my first time using Hotwire, so we'll see how it goes! :)

Priceline Express Deal. One night Feb. 27th. 3.5 stars.

Just got the Radisson Ambassador using PL Express for $93 plus tax and fee for total of $112. It is cleary indicated there will be a resort fee to pay at the hotel (this was clear before purchase). The hotel has some 'iffy' reviews but I just wanted a cheap place for one night pre-cruise. We don't land till after mid-night and we plan to board the ship by noon. The icons were: pool, restaurant, fitness, internet, business.

Also got the Radisson Ambassador on Priceline for $95.00 (w/taxes and fees $115.00) for one night Jan. 17. All of the OSJ hotels have been pretty much sold out for the San Sebastian festival that weekend. Cheapest I saw online for anything 2 ½ stars in Condado area was about $140.00, so I can live with this for one night pre-cruise!

I think I read that the "resort fee" was an additional $10.00 or so? Anyone stayed there recently?

Plenty of restaurants. Best beach in San Juan, gorgeous beach, best beach bar drinks, bus stop right in front to go in to Old San Juan - taxis will stop there and offer you reduced fare. The area doesn't have the upscale feel of Condado area, but that is what we like. Metropol and Chili's are close and a drug store a few blocks up the street. Great diner for breakfast in the strip center across the street but I don't remember the name, they specially made unsweetened iced tea for us. We just really enjoyed our 3 nights precruise there but haven't seen it at a price I was willing to pay for the last couple years. We cruise in January/February. Next January we are staying in a boutique hotel in Old San Juan (there will be friends cruising with us that haven't spent time in Puerto Rico) but I will be trying to get the Intercontinental for 2016.
