Packing help please !

:) We are about to leave for a 14 night cruise and I have some packing problems. HELP:( I do all the packing, and am faced with the problem of the limited carryons allowed.

 

I have always used what we used to call a makeup case for all our liquids, gels, shampoo, lotions etc., plus all our meds., and hubby's electric razor. I came up with the idea of packing it as usual, then putting it in a large suitcase, alone with stuff I used to pack in a smaller bag. Smaller bags was undies, nighties, shoes, and books.

 

This way, I am still only checking 2 bags, per person. Any good thoughts ? I am aware of the 50Lbs. allowed.

I'm thinking: If the makeup case is what I think you have, I'd avoid using it for the weight factor alone and use large clear ziplock bags (doubled?). Using the clear bags will help the airport inspectors get their job done faster if your bag is chosen for inspection. I think it's better to make the job easier on them, if possible.:cool:

Make sure you bring all medications (pills) with you on the plane + extra prescription (you don't want to take the chance to loose medications).
