Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeannie) was on the Galaxy, June 2004. She was very friendly, attended the Captain's Club party and had a table near us in the diningroom. One of the guy's with us said he used to drool over her as a kid so after dinner one night we approached her for a picture and she was happy to oblige -- but he ended up running off (got shy I guess) so the rest of us have a picture with her and tease him about it.

We had a GREAT time with Boomer Esiasan (football QB turned sportscaster) on a Disney cruise. very down to earth.

Also partied with an actress from one of Tom Hanks earlier films (Bachelor Party), but can't remember her name. She played a stripper. That was aboard a Royal Cruise in Europe.

Spent some time with the voice of Arielle from Disney animated "Little Mermaid" (can't remember her name either) on a second Disney Cruise. Also very nice woman.

Eddie Murphy was aboard another cruise -- but I didn't get to meet him.

Most celebrities who cruise are much like we are. They're either looking for a little R & R OR they're working on the cruise.

  • 4 weeks later...

On our first cruise (RCCL) about 10 years ago, Gloria Estevan, a couple band members and her early teenage son. She was never seen anywhere but in the casino every night playing black jack. Her young son was "prowling " the pool for girls everyday. :)

She was very friendly when we'd be in the elevator with us, asking how we were enjoying ourselves. Made special note to ask my 10 year old daughter a couple things. Seemed very down to earth.

Craig Morgan (Country singer) goes on cruises. I'll be on the Pride of Hawaii this Memorial Day and he'll be onboard with exclusive performances for the people with the KIIIM FM Country Cruise. If you signed up for this cruise, you'll get to see him. From what I understand, he has been the star singer last 2+ years - last year was an Alaskan cruise I think.

My first cruise.....May 28th

I stood in line next to Jerry Van Dyke when we docked at an island on RCCL many years ago. He was performing on the ship at the time, and was very pleasant to talk with.

correction 1986 on the Royale old Premier lines the Red Boat

I was on a cruise with Jerry Van Dyke(really was not with him) Oceanic old Premier lines 1987?? We were on the same floor. Were lost and could not hardy find the way to next floor. He was the main entertainment and he went to the island refered to as Gulligans island. We had to fight heavy waves coming back and Jerry Van Dykes was late for his evening performance. That has been 20 years ago. Time flys

Also on the Pride July 2002 Dave Parker baseball player with Pirates and Reds.

We had a mutural acquintance and had long conversation.

Costa Atlantica a few years ago had the surviving Munchkins. We could not believe our eyes, they had on their Munchkin togs for Photo Ops ($20 per... it is how they make their living we were told) Then we would see the little buggers at the craps table standing on chairs of course. I know this sounds like fiction but it really happened!

I was on the France with Mick and Bianca Jagger. They kept to themselves in one of the best first class suites. I was on the QE2 with Sugar Ray Leonard. He seemed very down to earth and was in the tourist class public rooms at night, even though he was first class.

My sister and BIL sailed the Pride last fall and I pulled up their roll call and found out it was a Rusty Wallace cruise. None of us had any idea who Rusty Wallace was so I did a Google search and found out he has something to do with NASCAR. Not being NASCAR fans, they didn't look for him and wouldn't have recognized him if they did see him - LOL. TG23

we once saw yocov smirnov perfom on a ship and since he had to wait a day or 2 before the next port so he could change ships, he was just hanging out like another passenger. we saw him at the buffet and at the pool and he was really nice about taking pictures with people and signing autographs. i have a picture of me with him, but it pre-dates me having a digital camera so i can't show it off here...lol
