Taxi's to Marigot

We are going to be in St. Martin next month and would like to go to Marigot. Does anyone have any idea if the taxis there hold 5 people (adults) :) and what the cost would be to go to Marigot? We don't really want to take a tour of the island, but if the price were right we might consider it. Are there taxis that do this?

 

I know there are organized tours through Joyce or Bernard, but that isn't really what we want to do. We do not want to go to a beach. Is there a lot to see? We have been to St. Martin several times, but just went shopping in Phillisburg.

Check out the official SXM Taxi site. They list prices for up to a group of 14.

 

For your group of five, the rate should be $6.00 per person each way.

 

They also list taxi rates for a variety of island tours, from $21 per person for a group of five.

Thank you for posting this link. This is very helpful. It even lists the beaches on the island and what is offered at each one (ex. restrooms, white sand, watersports,etc. ). Thanks again.
