Grammynelliebelle Posted October 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2006 Getting ready to leave on the Dawn on Sunday am and already starting to think about another trip! Can anybody tell me what the incentives are to rebook for another trip while on board? Do you have to choose a specific date and trip or is it just for a specific time period? Also I wonder if you can use the incentive on a "last minute" price? This is really addictive!:) Grammy

Beyond that there are a few perks (sorry I can't remember the Rep's speel from last week), so if you have the money available then its VERY worth it. This is really addictive!:) Grammy We have booked on board and when arriving home have checked the published prices to find our price beat them by about $50-$100 each. You also get your cabin assigned then and a cabin credit to spend on the ship(that varies by cabin type). And, if for any reason you cancel prior to the final payment you will receive all your deposit back. We have been pleased with our booking experience. Luvs Crusin Posted October 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2006 :) I feel the incentives are worth it. We just got off the Dawn. We were already boooked on the Pride of Hawaii for January. WHile on the Dawn we met with the cruise consultant. She saved us $100 while we were on the Dawn, and another $500 for our upcoming trip on the POH. We also got an upgrade in our cabin for the POH. We will also get additional perks while on the POH. If you like NCL and are planning on going again anytime in the next 18 months it is worth meeting with the cruise consultant. CRUZIN TOM Posted October 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2006 We also saved on our future cruise. We booked this last Feb while on the Star for next feb on the Star again. This was for the Mexican R. They also gave us $200.00 room credit and the cabin we wanted. they even transferred our reservation to our local TA. We then learned a couple of months later that the Pearl was coming out. We were able to have everything transferred to the pearl. Works great. Just a side note: If you are gamblers and get their Casinos at sea card you can save 18% off the lowest booking price that NCL has listed. Be sure and check this out in the Casino while you are on Board. We booked the pearl next year for a balcony room and saved over $500.00 for our room.:)
bardzie Posted October 27, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2006 We were on the Crown and listened to the talk. It's been about 6 weeks since the cruise and I haven't found a better deal. The only thing I found was a $300 OBC for new bookings only where we got $150 OBC but the fare we got booking on board was $80 pp less for four of us. All in all I think you will get a better fare deal and but smaller OBC. The perk I see is you get to select the cabin and you can still transfer the booking to any other date and/or ship up to the final payment date. Plus we even got a free upgrade. Paid for an AE and we're in an AD. The real funny thing to me is that the total price was $400 more than we paid for the original cruise we took and were going from an E on desk 4 to AD on deck 10. Try going there on a sea day and then try again later in the week. We went on a Friday and booked later in the evening.
