I am too stuborn and busy to go to the Doc...I am 95% better thank God! C...is somewhere floating out there around one of the islands and I ahven't gotten an email from her...she's too cheap to spend internet $$$ on me! The "Office" is closed while we are in port here in Venice but when I got into Venice in approx. 1 hour I might go to the Grand Casino on the Lido which is open 24 hours...I am feeling VERY lucky today with what is thus going on! T&J Posted October 29, 2006 Author #34 Share Posted October 29, 2006 Air Dolomiti????????? OMG  I know you said not to, but I have to ask. It sounds like a disease! Be very very nice and ask them to consider the same accomodations for March. Then again, ask them to consider your big sister for those accomodations. :) Wonderful upgrade; we can still dream, huh? Arlene Arlene...hello to you and Milt! OK 'cause YOU asked...Air Dolimiti a small prop job of a plane an ATR-7 (whatever or whoever makes this paper airplane I am not sure) was like a "Fred Flinestone" car where you had to pick up the car and run with your feet to get it going....It was more like "drop the cheese" all I kept on seeing were the Italian ALps with by the way no snow on them which is unheard of for this time of year...so I said to myself if we crash at least I don't need a winter coat! They are partly owned by Lufthansa as it was not advertized as a code share at all on my tickets and other peoples as well....can you say bait and switch! Just heavenly not being put in Business and instead in coach (and you know how I don't do Coach very well) which I was in the bulkhead row with a little curtain in fornt of my nose and no room that you couldn't swing a cat. Then the sumptuous "Boxed Lunch/Snack" arrives by Miss Italia (Air B*tch) who drops the boxes on our laps or table rest only to open it and it's a moldy piece of honey melon, a torte of somekind (so dryed out w/ red topping which someone said they determined was rubarb) and a Yoplait liquid yogourt drink that resenled and tasted like AJAX cleanser.....there you Air Dolimiti....One + to all of this we arrived 20 minutes ahead of shed. T&J Posted October 29, 2006 Author #37 Share Posted October 29, 2006 Once I came back to my Suite, my bags had already arrived and my Cabin Steward David had already compeltely unpacked me fully and hung up all my clothes and put away EVERYTHING and organized my toiletries etc...WOW that's a first as I ahve been in Full Suites before but never asked to be unpacked and it never happened before either. I also, received a beautifull huge flower arragment which is the centre piece for my Dinning Room table as well as my Mini-Bar set up (get that anyway because I am an Elite). But here's the upgraded amenities in the Shuites which is a nice touch a DVD player and Stereo System and a full selection of DVD's that I can rent and select from a listing. In the bathroom, the upgraded ameties are as follow; aliquid eye mask compress that is re-usable and you just throw in the freezer for those racoon eyes days and puffiness, added lip balm, premium bath salts for the jacuzzi, upgraded moisturiser, bath scrub brush to scrub your back, a bottle of tea tree oil etc....who needs the spa anymore...I've got a mini going on in one of my two bathrooms! Additionally, two shoe polish velvet bags are provide to have my shoes shined, and umbrella, binoculars and also actual linen bags and not the paper one to send my laundry! I also got delivered a huge Exotic Fruit basket with Mangoes, strawberries, grapes, Star Fruits, etc...and my bottle Veuve has been chilling ever since this afternoon that I had to open it upon my return...I killed half of it the other half is going bye bye later tonight for sure! Boy I wish Javier was here and I am sure he would as well...I emailed him but no response as of yet!...might have to call him for this one! Internet Room now is packed but at least on here all the computers are working and appear to be in good working order. More to follow later today from the Golden Princess.... cactusrose Posted October 29, 2006 #38 Share Posted October 29, 2006 Hi Tony. . . Wow what a start to your trip. Sounds like it started off with a problem but ended with the best upgrade I've heard of. If that happened to me you probably wouldn't be able to pry me out of that suite with a crowbar. What a view you will get leaving Venice tomorrow. Did I understand you right. . . you packed your dirty clothes 'cause you didn't have time to do the laundry between cruises? What a hoot! I'd love to have been able to read your cabin stewards mind when he started unpacking your suitcases:eek: . Bill has been keeping us entertained and now I'll have two "Live Froms" to follow. What fun. I see the references to Baaaaaaaaaa have already started. I'm in Arleen's camp on that one. Not something I want to see on my dinner plate, much less for breakfast. Yuk! Hey. . . I see the Grand Suite is available on the Jan 6th Golden, maybe you can get that upgrade. I'll be the first one at your door with a good bottle of wine in hand.:D I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that you have the OS for your second leg on this B2B. If good wishes can do it, you've got it. Stacey

Stacey Stacey...Yes you are right about the not having time to do a wash believe it or not!...but my Master Plan wasn't to ever be unpacked before as I would never have thought this would happen....come to think of it the ppor guy has already earned his full tip in advance for touching those dirty clothes this afternoon...eeeewwww!...I really didn;t mean for it to happen that way! I know the view will be amazing from the AFT of the ship as Javier, Sharon and I got invited on the Grand Princess on August 20th from Venice to Rome to the Bridge for the entire sailing away. So now I ahve seen it from the top front of the shjip and now from the top back as well leaving Venice and the Grand Canal...might invite some CC people from the get together earlier to take in the great views from my balcony...hell you put easily 20 people on it taht's how big it is! Stacey, if I get upgarded to the GRand Suite on Jan 6th well have one big "pyjama party" in my Suite that night with ever flowing Veuve! Ok I am guilty I love Lamb!
