GoodAsGold Posted November 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2006 I'll be sailing the Golden down the coast of CA to Mexico next April. One of the main reasons I booked her instead of the Dawn is because of the pool with the retractable ceiling. It can get chilly along the Pacific Coast. I loved having that pool on Golden's sister, Star. As for MUTS...I'm with you! I can watch a movie at home any old time! Just give me a lounge chair, a good book and some music on the pool deck and I'm set! :D THANKS SO MUCH for your quick replies....& don't be sorry re those MUTS...I could care less re them! GATOR MOM Posted November 10, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted November 10, 2006 I'll be sailing the Golden to Alaska in May...I know an indoor pool will be nice...& even wonder if they can keep it warm enough...at least the Hot Tubs should be fine. Someone told me that they plan to put those MUTS on all their ships...remodel some to have the movies...I don't like the idea! I also like to nap poolside...& a noisy movie is not nap acceptable! :D
GoodAsGold Posted November 10, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2006 When I called Princess they specifically said that plans have changed for some of the ships they previously had hoped to retrofit with MUTs. Evidently they're re-thinking this since there have been mixed reviews and it's very expensive to do. So, we shall see! :p Someone told me that they plan to put those MUTS on all their ships...remodel some to have the movies...I don't like the idea! Shogun Posted November 10, 2006 #9 Share Posted November 10, 2006 Hi There, First I like the Golden been on her three times I also like MUTS, during the day they use the head phones so does not trouble anyone OK understand for some reason not all ships have head phones yet. But to watch a movie under the stars on a warm evening is very relaxing and a nice way to spend a few hours. As to why do it simple I can not do it back home, I could eat out in a nice resturant, go to a casino or watch a live show, I can not sit out sit and watch a movie as the stars go by. yours Shogun
