There's always a welcome aboard buffet and always a Captain's cocktail party. Past guest parties are only 5 day or more sailings. Lobster is served on every cruise. I don't think there is a Grand Gala midnight buffet on 3 days anymore, but still a midnight buffet the first two nights. There are still shows. I'm sure people out there know more. Have fun. yearnin4cruisin Posted November 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2006 The Grand Gala is the "fancy" buffet with all the ice carvings and fruit flowers, vege sculptures and the like. Picture that in comparison to the Mexican buffet which is up on the Lido deck at midnight. It's still another meal, just not a feast for the eyes.
