Houston Hobby to Galveston

Anyone here that knows of a reliable shuttle from Houston Hobby to a Galveston Hotel? We are sailing on 2/3/07 and spending the previous night in Galveston.

Thank you in advance for your input. Happy sails to all!

We did this last January. We rented a car through Enterprise Car Rental (about $35). Easy drive to Galveston. We stayed at the Tremont Hotel (about $95). The Tremont is a wonerful historic hotel. We dropped off our luggage at the pier in the morning and returned the car to the Enterprise drop off area which is a mile or two from pier. Enterprise has a free shuttle up until about 1:00 pm on Saturday that will take you to the pier. After that time you need to take a cab back.

We stayed a night post cruise again at the Tremont and simply pulled our luggage the block or so to it from the pier. We took the Galveston Limo back to Hobby from the Tremont. I cannot remember the cost at this time, but it was relatively inexpensive compared to other forms of transportation.
