will Royal Caribbean sail out of New Orleans in 2008???

I posted on the R.C. cruise critic chat page and didn't get much response. I will try here.

According to the Royal Caribbean web site they aren't any R.C. ships scheduled to cruise out of New Orleans in 2008 (Jan of '08)

What is going on? Did they drop New Orleans and a departure port?

Also I don't see any Princess Ship sailing out of New Orleans in 2008.

Recently cruised out of New Orleans on the "Grandeur".

Loved New Orleans and the Grandeur.

Any comments?

I think these cruise lines are in a "wait and see" mode - they are doing cruises out of NO this year to see if the demand is still here. NCL and Carnival have committed. Glad you enjoyed NO and the Grandeur. If the demand remains high we hope to keep both RCL and Princess cruises here.

Looks like they dropped her for now. Hopefully they will bring it back.

 

 

The fact that the Grandeur is going out of NOLA is the only reason I'm on her to begin with. We have always wanted to visit NOLA, but also wanted another cruise so it was a perfect match.

 

Hope they return.
