St. John - Irving Nature Park, Martello Tower

Recommended Posts

Anyone have info on the Irving Nature Park, and the Martello tour. We are doing the jet boat ride at 11:20. Will we have time to see these other things? How do you get to these places-
Or, any other suggestions on what to see would be appreciated.

thanks,

Andreakul

The Irving nature park is quite a distance away from where the ships dock, and the Martello Tower is on the other side of the harbour. My suggestion would be to take a cab to either one. I don't know how long your ship is in port, but many leave at 5pm. The nature park is on an island linked to the mainland by a causeway. It has walking trails around it with many different views. Very popular with locals, and free.

Not much else in that area. Closer to the pier is the New Brunswick Museum at Market Square, and also the City Market, both within walking distance. Lots of small boutique type shops in the area as well. In addition, horse drawn carts offer guided tours of the historic areas of the city. If you're into history and architecture, that's a popular option.
