leaving on the serenade on april 17 to st thomas, st martin, st lucia, antiqua and barbados. my son and i are in the pool stage of our padi training (as a result of previous discover diving excursions)and i was wondering if anyone had recommendations for dive centers at the above ports that offer discover scuba so we can "get wet". probably will dive at two ports. tks in advance

Why don't you arrange your open water dives at the first stop? It's called a referral-- you arrange through your dive instructor. Though I'm not that experienced, I don't think anyplace will take you without certification----unless you are part of the intro to scuba, and you probably don't need that anymore.

Good discover scuba program at http://www.cokidive.com/ on St. Thomas.

I wouldn't dive St. Maarten again unless the ocean was dead flat calm, and even then I wouldn't expect much, so I'd skip that port for discover scuba.

Haven't dived at any of the other islands on your list, so I won't offer a second hand opinion.

Good luck
