CRUIS'N JJ Posted January 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2007 Any advice on which islands would have the best birding or nature experiences in Eastern Caribbean would be greatly appreciated! My husband and I did Belize last year and had a wonderful birding experience with Sam Tillet!
whale-watcher Posted January 17, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2007 We really enjoyed Dominica! We took the aerial tram excursion in the AM, and this traverses some wonderful rainforest habitat; our guide was very good, and we saw a really nice variety of forest birds. In the afternoon we went whale watching, and had a pod of sperm whales lounging right by the boat!
CRUIS'N JJ Posted January 17, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted January 17, 2007 I am so disappointed that NCL is not going to Dominca in 2008--we were so looking forward to it! Instead they are offering Domincan Rep. If anyone has any other suggestions for seeing nature in: Tortola, St. Thomas... please let me know! Thanks for the advice though!
