St. Maartin - Intro to Scuba

My 14 year old daughter and I are thinking about doing the 3 hour intro to scuba class/dive at St. Maartin. Would you recommend it? Neither of us has scuba dived but we both enjoy snorkeling. We don't have time to get certified before the trip in early June. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

they offer full o/w certification

courses on the ship.
