jdfloyd Posted July 25, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2004 How do you become a "member"? Is it really worth it? What perks, besides early boarding do you get? Thanks!
pholter Posted July 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2004 If you book a Category 11 or 12, then the Skipper's Club is the private place you get to go to have priority boarding privileges. That's all...... Is it worth it- sometimes...
Cruising89143 Posted July 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2004 I have found that the Skippers Club is hit and miss. Really depends on the port of embarkation.
kajsb Posted July 26, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Hi Joe and Dianna! :D At Long Beach when you boarded the Ecstasy, Skipper's Club would have gotten you on the ship a little earlier. They first board wedding parties, then disabled, then Skipper's Club that did the early check-in. The best benefit is that you would have purchased a category 11 or 12. Since I've only sailed out of Long Beach and the old port at San Pedro, I can't tell youl how it works elsewhere. I hope we meet up again one day on another cruise! BDL Posted July 26, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Does anyone have experience with Skippers Club in Tampa? How early should we get to there? Doing Sensation in October. Thanks, Barb
sls Posted July 26, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 26, 2004 In Tampa it gets you checkin seated at a desk instead of the long line. They give you slips there they tell you when to board if you get their before everyone starts boarding and you are in the first group. You are seated in the same waiting room as everyone else waiting for your number to be called. We got there before boarding started so don't know what happens if you arrive later probably escorted to the head of the line.
