czardas Posted January 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2007 Hi, just wondering if you have to pay for the movie viewing in your cabin, like you used to on Pacific Sky?
AuzzieCruiser Posted January 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2007 A stupid question from me.. What do they exactly show on the TV in your cabin? How many channels are there?:o
Skyrules Posted January 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2007 Answer to both czdras and auzziecruiser. No, you don't need to pay for the movies in cabin on Pacific Sun, or for that matter Pacific Star. The TV channels on the in cabin service include; several movie channels with semi-new relase movies on continual rotation a satelite news channel (except it's mostly US and European news, very little Australian news) A live feed from the ships webcams (front on Pacific Sun and front & rear on Pacific Star) A sports channel A music video channel A ship information channel with different things throughout the cruise including demonstrations of the criuse video, repeats of shore tour talk, disembarkation talk, etc.

chaz cruiser Posted January 28, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 28, 2007 Don't forget the hint for those in inside cabins... turn your tv onto the cruise cam channel with the sound off and when the sun comes up your cabin will start to lighten up... Also you can check out what the day looks like without have to get out of bed!!! Cheers, Chaz:)
Star-Man Posted January 28, 2007 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2007 From memory (on the star at least), the news channel is Sky World News and the there are 2 sports channels, fox sports 1 and 2. We would always wake up to the information channel lucky, i got woken up by my room mates throwing shoes at my head :D

If Demo is the Cruise Director the morning show is a must - and if Shona is working with him it's even better. Dan Styne managed to turn the morning show into a cross between an infomercial and a self promotion.

The last three cruises I have been on( 2 on the Sun, the other on Star) there has been NO morning show :( , which is a shame. I thought it was great, with the quiz etc each morning. maybe it is all part of the cost cutting by Carnival??? Demo has a great personality, and enjoys himself as much as passengers do. He can tell a joke like no other, and that includes Dan Styne . kindest regards, Lorraine:) :)
