Just got off the Destiny this week.

Can't tell you enough GREAT THINGS about this resort.

First they have sold to SANDLES

But they made us feel welcome, we had 40 in our group.

They give you a wrist band and your free to go everywhere.

GREAT BEACH... GREAT POOLS... GREAT FOOD.. 3 differnt areas.

A all you can each BUFFETT... Very nice Nice area to eat

A Snack Bar with every kind of sandwiches, Chickern Strips Homemade

Pizza you name it they had it.. Little slow service but nice

Then up the hill was the OUTBACK.. Ribs, chicken. Great food but

a like hike to get there.

We hired a Taxi with a Van to take us ALL there.. Right off the boat.

He was wonderful. Everyone wanted 10.00 a person one way.. he charged us

6.00 each way and came back for us.. EARLY!!!!!!! Never waited.

I have his info.. You can set this up ahead of time.. HE WAS WONDERFUL!!!!

From a scale of 1 - 10 I would give this a PERFECT 10.

Our WHOLE GROUP LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

Any questions??? ASK AWAY

We paid 45.00 Per Person FOR THE DAY PASS!!!!!!

Email: easst.pineapplebeachresort@candw.ag

The first time they said we had to wait until we were closer to the date.

and then they emailed me telling me YES...

And the moring of going we had another 14 people I called and they

said YES BRING THEM ALL!!!!!!!

45.00 included the day... If you want Breakfast it was MORE..

But by the time you got off the ship and bussed their it was almost 11:00 am

and the Food was open at 11:00

So the timming was perfect...

GOOD LUCK

Deb, we had plans to go to Pineapple a couple of years ago but ended up at the public beach right next door . . . was talking to some people who were staying at Pineapple and they said the pools/beaches were always packed and no empty chairs to be found . . . did you have this problem? They ended up walking over to the public beach and renting chairs!

I'd love to plan a trip to Pineapple again.

We had NO problem at all with Chairs.. They were everywhere..

The pool area had a ton of them.. Some just went over and grab them from there.

Our Taxi was a van that held 30 people.. He was AWESOME..

He took us and came back for us. We just found him at the PIER.

Told him what we wanted. He charged 6.00 each way... 12 round trip per person. Had his daughter with him when he came back.. She was a doll.

ALL you can EAT ANd DRINK.. At the Bar their was NEVER a line.

Any drink you wanted..

Hope it helps.

Thanks Deb and sunworshiper......I emailed them about 3 days ago to the email address Deb posted. I still have not heard back from them. How long does it usually take for a response???

Are children allowed??? I have a 7 and 11 year old...Maybe that's why I have not heard from them...... Thanks in advance.:)

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks to all for the information (and photos). I spoke with someone from the management company that handles the hotel reservations today and was told that the per person cost was $55. I have not spoken with the resort directly but that is still a great rate for an all inclusive.

Coincidently, I looked up the resort on TripAdvisor and saw that they ranked the resort as #9 of 31 resorts on Antigua. I'm not sure if that is relevant or not but I think from the photos that the resort looks lovely!!

How confusing...

I don't think everyone is talking about the same place?

The pictures above match google searches for Occidental Grand Pineapple. The Allegro web site is not working so I can't check that.

The pictures do not match Sandals Antigua.

If anyone who has talked to them recently can confirm who owns it and if it's really a sandals property or not I would appreciate it. I was looking for a good place to go in October but we have a child so if it's really Sandals now that leaves us out.

Bill,

A group of us are in contact with these folks for our day in Antigua in May. http://www.grandpineapplebeachresort.com/english/daypass.phtml is the address your interested in and your correct about the pictures. This is NOT a Sandals resort.......

By the way it must be a generic answering system. Your reply will extremely lame but at least it is a reply.......

I had no luck with emails for the Pineapple Resort. I tried twice.

I called them up, phone number is listed on the website, an immediately I was connected to reservations and reserved 2 day passes (B) for April 11th. It came to $49.50 per person. I would make the phone call closer to your arrival date.

P.S.

Anyone going to the resort on April 11th and would like to share transportation?? Let me know and we can exchange info.

HI, I am glad you enjoyed this resort so much.

Can I ask you a few questions?

Was the waters calm? I hate to go to a beach where the water is so rough, I like to take my raft with me and just float in the calm water, so let me know about this.

Also, How long of a drive from the ship to the Resort?

I think I have heard in the pst it took 1 hour to get there and 1 hour to get back.

You said you arrived at 11am, what time did your ship pull in?

Our ship will be pulling in at 9 so I would like to get there as soon as possible. We are there until 5, so I need to know what time to start to head back to the ship.

and is their time the same as ship time? I know alot of people miss the ship because they forget the time change, if any.

Thanks for your help.

Sue
