dolphin or emerald

we are thinking of retrying princess looking at carib. princess and choosing between mini-suites on emerald or dolphin decks(AD vs. AC). on dolphin it looks like you look down onto lifeboats and on emerald maybe level with them please help as we have only been on the golden princess and not for the last several yrs. we have been going on celebrity but i can't find an itinary we like for next yr on a 7 day trip:)

Dolphin you are over the lifeboats, can't see them looking down. Balconies are open, uncovered.

 

Emerald minis you are on the same level as the lifeboats, but they are forward of these rooms and not visible unless you lean waaay over your balcony rail. These rooms have covered balconies.

 

This layout is the same on both the Golden and Caribbean Princess.

We loved Emerald 727. Nice quiet hallway, great location. Be careful of the minis on the opposite side (728 and 730) Very close to the stage in Club Fusion, and a bit noisy late at night.

Minisuites on the Emerald Deck are covered. The last minisuites on the Emerald Deck on each side have oversize balconies. We had E730 on the Crown Princess two weeks ago and it was fantastic. The numbers are slightly different on some ships so you have to look at the deck plans.
