going on miracle 8/21 - should he order his tux when he gets on board or should i fax it to them with the form that carnival has on their site? i know formal night is that sunday and we leave saturday but was not sure if we can do it that sat or it would be too late.

Fax it to them, it should be in your cabin sometime Saturday, and that will give you time if you need alterations.

Get his measurements and fax them in ahead of time. There's no guarantee that they would be able to get him into a properly fitting tux if you wait until you board the ship.
