Legend of the Seas leaving Brisbane, Australia:

When we where docked in Brisbane in on the Queen Mary 2 on the 13th March 2016

Some friends of ours who came to take us out for the day told us the Legend of the Seas was also in town that day.

We just made it back on the Queen Mary 2 that afternoon to see the Legend of the Seas sail past us 🙂

She was moored in front of our ship, the Columbus California, a freighter on which my wife and I were the only paid passengers, sailing from Auckland to San Francisco.

Queen Elizabeth in Busselton, Western Australia.

View seems to be blocked, somewhat, by some boofhead.

For accuracy, the ship was in Esperance. Busselton (Margaret River) is a tender port).

Man, I will be glad when the cruise industry starts up again.  My last cruise was an 11 day S. Caribbean cruise on the Epic that ended on Feb 6th 2020.  Two big news items occurred on that cruise, the first was the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter.  The second was the news of the Corona Virus outbreak on the Diamond Princess.  Sanitation on the Epic went into high gear because of that virus news.

I was going through photos from that last cruise and I was reminded of something that I had added to my bucket list, I want to go up in Royal Caribbean’s North Star observation ball.  I had almost forgotten I had added that to my list.

I had never seen the North Star in operation until we were in port with the Anthem of the Seas in St. Kitts and as she was departing the North Star was raised.
