Avoiding topless beaches?

I agree, mine jump off and attack people all the time:eek:

I just have no control over them, the second i take the leash off, it's like they have a mind of their own;)

Just remember - its all fun and games until someone loses an eye.....;) LOLOL:D

Seriously folks, its not as though the ladies in question are running amok rubbing peoples faces to their bossom aka Elaine xmas card episode of seinfeld where the nipple made an appearance......

..... The one lady we saw on Manchebo was chilling out on her back catching some rays. If you were'nt looking for it you may not have even noticed (although my male counterparts do have better radar than me:cool: ).

Manchebo is not likely a good beach for the kiddies anyway as there are no toys, rafts, games etc. just miles and miles of unspoiled sugary tranquil beach - wait a minute - hmmmmmm......ahem....... (placing tongue firmly in cheek) oh my goodness yes yes I stand corrected - bossoms and breasts galore - with piercings and all sorts of deviant behaviour - keep those kids away......you're best to stay in town or on the ship away from our little piece of paradise!

In Aruba, if you want to absolutely positively avoid seeing ANY women topless stay on the ship. If you want a good chance of seeing a woman topless your chances will be much better at Eagle Beach than Palm Beach. Yes, you will still have a chance of seeing a topless woman on Palm Beach, but your chances are better at the resorts along Eagle Beach.

That's not a guarantee either. Some ships, like Carnival's, and probably others, have a topless sun deck. Maybe some people should learn to just not be so uptight about our bodies.

Perhaps you are right. Not an issue in my family. My then 10 yo saw quite a few woman sunbathing topless in Curacao and never even mentioned it to dh or I.

Absolutely correct. I know though that for example on Celebrity's Galaxy the topless sunbathing deck was on the top deck far forward. You would really have to search it out to find it. Easily avoided by someone who might be offended unless you were desperate for a prime viewing spot for say the Panama Canal.

Yes, on most ships if they have a topless deck it is usually always top deck in one certain area and you can certainly very easily find out if the ship has one and then easily either avoid that deck or use that deck at your choice.

We do not have a problem with topless women on beaches since we have been to alot of the different islands over the years and are "just used to seeing it/no big deal" (plus my sister-in-law is from Europe) but others may have very different views and they have just as much right to be uncomfortable with it as we have being totally comfortable with it.

That is what is so great about this board, everyone has the right to post and ask questions without having to worry about being chastised for their views wether they are the same views as ours or very different views...

I live in Las Vegas - Sin City, USA - where we have people walking around the street topless (although they do get strange sunburns). Seriously - we took our 2 girls to several casino shows when they were young which were topless. We also did not make a big fuss about it and I am not sure if they even noticed it.

You are getting more uptight than your kids. Wait until you catch them with a magazine featuring nude photos.

Also, IMHO, almost but not quite seeing it is more erotic than seeing it. There is nothing more boring than a bunch of people at a nude beach.

The discussion in this thread has been very amusing!

From what I understand, going topless isn't officially illegal, yet public nudity is illegal in Aruba. And topless sunbathers will not be tolerated at the hotels. I can tell you that I have been to Aruba 3 times and have been to many beaches there and have NEVER seen a topless sunbather! FYI - all beaches in Aruba are public beaches.

So the best answer is, if you want to avoid topless sunbathers, go to Palm Beach and hang out by the high rise hotels.

Here is a beach guide that I hope you find helpful:

PALM BEACH-

Home of the high rise hotels. Almost all of the hotels have some sort of food offering either close to the beach or near the pool. But understand that the chairs/cabanas on the beach and the pools are reserved for hotel guests. You can also easily access water sports and boat rides... and the hotels here all have casinos. Easily accessable by bus/taxi. The water sometimes looks cloudy from all the boat activity in the area kicking up the sand. Some of the hotels will have bathrooms near the pool (I know the Radisson does, and their beach grill is great too).

EAGLE BEACH-

Nice clear calm water. No facilities or food. La Cabana resort is across the street. Easily accessable by bus/taxi.

ARASHI BEACH-

This beach is similar to Eagle Beach, but a little farther north (closer to the lighthouse). It's a quiet beach with calm water, but you can also snorkel near the rougher patches on the edge of the beach. There are no facilities here, but I believe it is one of the bus stops.

BABY BEACH-

Someone else was asking about where to go for snorkleing... the beach that really has it all in Aruba is Baby Beach. It has a tranquill cove that is great for people with kids, just a few feet outside of that cove is some great snorkling on the reef, and they have both equipment rental facilites and a snack shack, but unfortunately no shower or bathroom facilities. And it's far away from where the ship docks, so you may have to take a taxi... which may make it more complicated to get back. RODGERS Beach is near Baby Beach and has shower facilities, but I haven't been to that beach so I can't tell you how far away it is.

If you DO want to go topless, there any many areas off to the sides of the beaches where you can hide in a cove and nobody will see you. Head to Arashi beach or Baby Beach and take a walk to find a good cove for that!

!

Don't know when you stay in Aruba but when i'm there, i stay at Eagle beach with all the other topless sun bathers.

There is also a beach bar at the hotel, yes, women go up and to the bar & rder their drinks topless.

I have never been to Eagle when there was no tops off, usually atleast 5 or 6 at all times.

I do not understand what the problems with breast are? Parents allow their children to watch violence on TV and movies but when it comes to nudity it gets weird. I lived in Europe and children are not sex craved like kids are here. The only reason I can think of is that it is not TABOO.

just got back from 10 beautiful days in aruba. thank goodness in addition to the beautiful beaches, we saw many topless women there and to be honest, they were very attractive and gravity had not taken hold of any of them. It was very refreshing to see beautiful women that were not at all ashamed of their bodies. The whole vacation was perfect and we hope to go back. It is indeed one happy island. Life is good!

We recently got back from an absolutely wonderful vacation in Aruba. Just reporting it to say ZERO topless women spotted on Palm Beach, Arashi Beach, or Baby Beach. Also reporting in: one topless women spotted on Eagle Beach.

This post has certainly been enjoyable to read/brought us alot of chuckles and laughs...

Uncannily average are those statistics.:D I will try to remember to report how many sightings we have next month staying along Eagle/Druif Beach.

Bozo said : What's the big deal about seeing topless women we were in Aruba a few weeks ago there were some but honestly I saw more men with bigger t-ts than the women.

Oh geez, now you went and opened up "an entirely new can of worms", lol

Eagle Beach it is. We will be on Aruba next Oct (wow, that is a long time from now!), and I have promised friends pics from a topless beach. My wife, and her friend who is going with us, have reluctantly said that if we don't get any pics of topless, they will pose for me. And they don't really want to...

I was out in the water floating on my raft and from my raft all of a sudden I see all these 20 something year old women taking off their tops and they all just happened to be sitting/walking pretty much right in front of/around my hubby.

Geez I wish I had friends that would be comfortable topless!!

Funny thread.

While many people enthuse about what a piece of art the human body is, etc. etc. -- I often see implied in discussions on this subject that only the finest breasts should be bared.

In other words, few wax ecstatic at the sight of 75-year-old sagging breasts.

Right now I'm not to ecstatic about the sight of my own 45-year-old sagging breasts. If I'm lucky enough to have 75-year-old sagging breasts, I will run topless up and down Palm/Eagle Beach excitedly screaming "look at my 75 year old breasts everyone"-- ok, who wants to meet me in Aruba in July, 2037 so you can all join me for "THE RUNNING OF THE BREASTS"

I find it funny that everyone here blasted the OP for not wanting to go to a beach for it being topless but that many men posting here are hoping to go to one. So if you are slamming her saying it isn't a big deal then why do american boys and men purposely go to these beaches? It's just a pair of boobs, right?

I am sure the OP doesn't care if there are one or two but maybe her and her whole family would feel a little off if they went to a European beach were most of them were. It is okay to admit that and not get bashed into feeling like a bad parent.

I find it much worse and completely icky that older men are staring at these teenagers and 20 something girls boobs on the beaches. If it isn't a big deal, why go and look? I would find the men pretending not to stare but obviously are more disturbing then the topless girls themselves.
