Soozie-Q Posted March 2, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted March 2, 2007 What is formal optional? Thanks!
Kurbanfan Posted March 2, 2007 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2007 What is formal optional? Thanks! It means you can choose either to dress formal or not. They will still have the photo shoots set up. But if you choose to dress casual that's fine also.
caribbean dreams Posted March 2, 2007 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2007 The required dress on formal night is stated on the carnival website and in your Cruise Doc's, the first formal night is the Captains Cocktail party, it tends to be more formal that the second night. bubbles1209 Posted March 2, 2007 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2007 This past Valentine's week on our Liberty 6-day, there were 2 formal nights. We saw more formal than not so formal on both nights, as a matter of fact, it seemed we saw more guys in uniform (military) on the 2nd formal night than the 1st, don't recall seeing any uniforms the 1st night, just lotsa nice looking gentleman;) :D all dressed up...mmmmhhhhmmmm.:p
cruisetmc Posted April 21, 2007 #9 Share Posted April 21, 2007 We had 2 formal nights on our Liberty cruise. The ship is lovely. The captains party is held in the 3 club areas in the back of the ship. enjoy
LovetheSea Posted April 21, 2007 #10 Share Posted April 21, 2007 I will be on the 6 night Liberty cruise in a couple of weeks. I decided to take one full out FORMAL dress and one pretty black semiformal, just below the knee, with Rhinestone pin, elegant type, but not too formal dress :) They used to call this a cocktail dress. My hubby is wearing a suit the second formal night. ( It is so much easier for men) :( I figured this would be a good middle of the road thing to wear that night. Or you could wear nice black palazzo pants with a pretty beaded top? Even a nice sun dress and dress it up a little with your jewelry
