Photos of the family suite?

Some one had sent these to me when I had asked and was looking into booking a family suite. I am sure she would not mind me posting them.

There are two family suites onboard; these measure 607 square ft.

The suite sleeps 8 Max although others have said would be very tight. There is a mini suite as the main bedroom and a quad inside for the kids they are connected by the living room that you see in the picture, two more can sleep in the living room.

Smartcookie,

fpat was right...I'm glad he posted the pictures I sent. I have always had trouble posting pictures on these boards...the pictures he posted are from the Diamond Princess, but I believe the Family Suites are pretty much the same on all ships.

If you have any questions about the Family Suite, feel free to ask. We thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was courtesy of the upgrade fairy and we did not pay full price for it. (We had booked a mini and an interior across the hall for our DDs). It is very roomy and great for a family of 4 or 5.

Hi ladysheri

I know you had said you tried to post them and were unable to so I figured I would put them up, thanks again for the photos, they are still the only ones that I saw on these boards, I will be on the Crown in August and the Emerald in December, staying in the same room D105. I will be sure to take photos and put them up so people can choose for themselves if it is right for them. Thanks to your photos and your info I was able to make the right decision for me.

Thanks again and good to hear from you

I see you will be on the Emerald for Thanksgiving, I will be on for New Years, will look forward to your review

Fred

If you do a search on this site you may also find more pictures. We had this suite on the Crown in November and I was able to see some pictures on here before I left. Someone had posted a review which included pictures of the Family Suite. Are you considering booking this room? If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them.

I haven't cruised Princess yet, my sister and I leave in 6 weeks. If we like Princess I definitely would consider the Family suite on a future cruise for my family.

My family and I cruised on the Royal Family suite on the Grandeur of the Seas and loved it, it was much larger though...I think it's more expensive than Princess though too.

Sheri, I was also considering booking a balcony with an inside across the hall, it's not as convenient, but it's less expensive...I think.

A balcony and an inside is definitely less expensive than the Family Suite. It would also offer more privacy. If you are sailing on Princess soon, try and get a peek at the family suite so you can see the set-up for yourself. Good luck and happy sailing!

For my family of 5, 2 BA balcony cabins on Grand was still far less expensive than the Family Suite. YMMV.

We were upgraded to the family suite back in January on the Star, I believe the setup is pretty much the same on the Golden... you are the most forward cabin on the ship, the view is amazing on the huge balcony, as you can see both front and side... however, do note that on windy days, the balcony is useless... with that being said, on the calm days, the balcony is awesome.

With regards to privacy, it's actually two cabins in one big one... each with it's own entrance... and you can lock the inside cabin from the main room if you need some "alone" time...

Also, the bathroom has a nice tub and shower and the inside cabin has the little corner shower, so it was very convenient for us that way also.

If there is any more questions I can help you with, please let me know.
