SmokinActuary Posted March 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2007 For those of you with the experience, how does HAL handle peak-time, full capacity loads versus other fleets? Thanks
earl_m Posted March 27, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2007 I guess the peak time are in the summer and the chrismas holidays. I am sure they handle quite well. they been doing for more than 130 years. I never cruise at peak time, too many kids. I like the spring and fall
hammybee Posted March 27, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2007 To the best of my knowledge, most HAL sails are selling out, regardless of time of year. So handling a full load is SOP for the crew of HAL. During school breaks, HAL like many others, sail at 100%+ capacity when there are 3 or more in a cabin. Most of my personal HAL cruises have been during prime time school vacation and the crew performed well. I think HAL got surprised as did many pax, over President's week on the Noordam, where the school break and convenience of the port put a heck of a lot of kids onboard and some of the parents apparently viewed a cruise as a break from being parents. SmokinActuary Posted March 27, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted March 27, 2007 Thanks Hammybee. We intend on being parents, but we hope CLub Hal gives a little respite!
