tipping baggage handlers at nyc pier?

:confused: My husband will be dropping us off with bags before parking. How much do I tip for the bags they take to check in? Does it get expeditited any quicker this way?:confused:

I tipped $3.00 per bag; the baggage handlers wisked them right away and our bags were in our room when we got to the room at 2:00. Would they have gotten there anyway; probably but it's worth it to me - I guess that's the question.

I usually only tip $1.00 per bag whether it is the airport, hotel, taxi or cruise ship pier. I usually have two bags. Some taxi's charge extra for the larger suitcases too. I've never lost any luggage or had it go astray.

I tip $1-2 per bag. For two moderate to large bags, I tip $5 - just easier with the one bill.
